A Great Place to Stay
I spent a week at the villa in july with my teenage son and girlfriend. The private pool Is just fantastic, and we had a very relaxing week. The Location has lots to offer with the beach only ten minutes drive away. But we also just enjoyed the outside space and spent much of our time relaxing by the pool and preparing a BBQ in the evening.
The Villa was clean and just as described, and the local manager was very helpful with all of our questions and requests.

A sanctuary!
We can honestly say we had a fantastic few days stay. The villa was very easy to get to and just 30 minutes from Alicante. We were very lucky with the weather and Le Casa Del Sol was very welcoming and comfortable. Best of all it felt like a sanctuary, completely away from it all. Once you'd closed the gates you were totally private and could forget the outside world and enjoy the fabulous pool.
Having said that if you wanted to venture out you were in the ideal place to get to the beach and main shopping and restaurant areas. Torrevieja is just a ten minute drive away. We managed two rounds of golf during our stay and were amazed at how close the courses were. There's half a dozen golf courses within a twenty-five minute drive and Malaga is just 45 minutes. Le Casa Del Sol is golfers paradise and perfect for a group golfing holiday. I wish we'd had longer to play more. Needless to say we'd recommend hiring a car in order to enjoy the area to full.
We should mention the Villa managers, Paul and Gill who greeted us on arrival and made sure we were happy with everything. They were very helpful and could advise on the area's best restaurants, supermarkets and places to visit. For a small charge they'd even arrange things for you and provide transport if required.
Finally, thanks for a fabulous time and for allowing us to share your beautiful villa. We'll definitely be back...and with the golf clubs of course!!
Fantastic Accomodation
Had a very enjoyable 2 week stay with family, including young children.
We spent a lot of our time relaxing around the pool area, and using the outdoor catering facilities. The pool was a fantastic place to cool of in from the warm sun, but also safe for the children to play around as it is raised up from the ground level.
The interior of the villa was clean and tidy, and very nice for relaxing in as the nights got a bit chillier, and there was plenty of space around for us to all be able to do what we wanted without getting under each others feet.
The beach was only a 10 minute drive away, giving the children something extra to do during the stay, and amenities are just a walk away, or a short drive for something a little more adventurous.
The local agents were very helpful, and were available whenever we needed advice from them.
Can't wait to book again and enjoy another stay at this fantastic villa!!
A very special place in the sun
Our family, two adults and two girls 11 and 15, stayed at the villa in the May half term. Although early, we all felt like we'd had our summer holiday as the weather was lovely and warm. The villa was perfect for the family, plenty of room for everyone inside and a choice of three different places to eat in the garden depending on whether we wanted to be in the sun or out of it. The villa is perfectly located to make the most of the coastline - although very near Torrevieja, we actually spent more time investigating some of the more southern coves and beaches which were almost deserted, but fantastic places for the children to try out snorkelling in crystal clear water, which was plenty warm enough even though still early in the season. To be honest though, the villa was so quiet and comfortable and the pool so welcoming, that we rarely ventured away from it. Some might say that it's a shame to go to a foreign country and not make the most of the local scenery and culture, but for us, it was just great having our own space, fantastic weather and all the comforts of home - why change a winning formula? The house is fantastically well equiped, I don't think there was a single gadget or utensil that we were short of and there were plenty of sun beds in the garden for all. The owners even supply a gas BBQ, which we made frequent use of.
Overall, we would thoroughly recommend the villa for those who just want to enjoy the sun in the peace and quiet of their own back yard, or as a perfect place to return to and recharge your batteries for the more adventurous types.
Finally, you have the reassurance of knowing that the english speaking local agent is only a phone call away if you have any problems and is happy to help out with any domestic emergencies as well as being on hand if there are any issues with the house. The house was spotless when we arrived, the agent was there to meet us and show us around and was also there at the agreed time on our departure day.
Thoroughly recommended, we will be back!
Our 4 day stay at La Casa Del Sol
What an outstanding place to stay! So much room! Very large plot with a spacious pool and outside area. All excellently maintained throughout. The Pool is fabulous - a good temperature and very clean. All four bedrooms and three bathrooms are of a good spec. The gardens are lovely and add to the serenity, peace and tranquility of La Casa del Sol. We only had a four day break here but the location of the villa is great for the lovely local beach (10 mins by car or a short walk via the salt lake). Mountains are but a short drive away should you fancy a hike. The bustling town and market is about 20 mins by car and should suit the needs of most ages from 4 to 84! There is a local "Bodega" close to the villa for warm bread, milk and newspapers (for those who need to know what's going on in the rest of the world!). In my opinion the only thing that the villa needs air-conditioning, and this apparently is being installed later this year - so we'll definitely be back! Well - what can I say, apart from the villa was perfect for our 2 families who were wanting a relaxing holiday in the sun. Too good in fact as none of us wanted to come home!!
The villa has everything that you need and the surrounding area is perfect with shops, bars and restaurants within walking distance. The bus stop was a just round the corner from the villa so not far if you wanted to venture further afield.
We will be back again as I could not think of a more perfect place to stay.
A great place to stay..!
We had two families staying for one week (4 adults & 4 kids aged 12,13,14,16). The owners were excellent with communication, very happy to help with any questions and I felt very assured when organising. The villa is very spacious to cope with 8 and the bedrooms being good sizes with an excellent on-suite off the main bedroom. Good size kitchen which was linked to the main lounge and a side door to an outside eating area. TV and DVD, all main UK channels inc Disney Channel for the kids. We met the local managers at the villa (Paul and Gill) who showed us round and were happy to help with any questions we had. They also sorted out an internet dongle for my laptop which kept the kids happy of an evening (Facebook!). The pool is definitely the gem of this villa. The kids absolutely loved it! (as too did the adults!) and it really did make a difference having your own private pool on those hot days n nights. Remember you need to use the outside shower to remove any sun cream before entering the pool as it could leave a film on the water. This is a residential area and can be very quite of an evening. Our neighbour did like to play his music (the ‘best’ of A-Ha ?!) during the day and we could hear it when he left his windows open. But he would turn it down/off in the evening. You need a car to get around. We drove to the beach a few times (lots to choose from), did the market on the Friday and went into the town centre another (with a Fun Fair, a night market and lots of restaurants along the front). If you want to hit the town for a drink, jump a local taxi (approx 12euros one way). Paul recommended a great (n very cheap) Chinese restaurant five mins drive away, ask him for details.. I agree with the rest of the reviews, it’s a great place to relax and unwind and we all felt very safe in the villa. We were all very happy to sit out in the sun most days and BBQ most evenings just chilling while the kids still found time to go for an evening swim… It’s not near any resorts and with only a few of bars within walking distance don’t expect a Benidorm night life, but I do recommend the Karaoke on a Thursday night at Bar Kenz! Things to improve?..possibly table tennis as there’s loads of space to have one outside and would help keep teenagers amused of an evening. Had stayed in San Luis several times previously, but always in apartments, so we were really looking forward to staying in a nice villa. WE WERE NOT DISAPPOINTED! The villa is stunning, set in a large well maintained garden with its own fabulous pool. There is also an outside dining area with barbecue which will be brilliant in the hot Summer months. The interior was spotlessly clean & well equipped with everything needed for the perfect self catering holiday. The local managers Paul & Gill are only a phone call away if required to solve any problems. Fortunately we did not need them as everything was perfect. Although San Luis is a quiet peaceful area it has lots of great bars & restaurants, the nearest being Casa Ventura about 100yds away where they serve a roast Sunday lunch (beef pork or chicken) for under 5euros. There is a large supermarket (Mercadona) 2mins drive away, or a 5min drive takes you to the huge Carrefour hypermarket. There are good makets at La Mata 15min drive or the huge Torievieja market 10 min drive. There is a lovely beach at Guardamar 15min drive away. The local people of San Luis are a real friendly lot, & we have made friends with many of them on our visits. San Luis is a great place for a nice relaxing holiday, & La Casa Del Sol is the perfect place to spend it! We will be back for sure!

Myself, Husband and three children had a wonderful week’s holiday, the villa was immaculately clean and well laid out. The outside area is beautiful with comfortable sun loungers and a lovely shaded seated area ideal for eating outside; we also took advantage of the BBQ.The pool was clean and very well maintained and a great size for a family to use. Unlike other villa we have stayed in, in the past the villa had a great range of kitchen equipment and washing machine. The bedrooms were all of a good size with the master bedroom having a really big ensuite .
We found loads to do in the area great beaches near by, we also had some lovely meals out in local restaurants and with a supermarket within walking distance it made it easy to cook at the villa when we wanted to.
All in all we had a fantastic week in a beautiful villa well situated.
Perfect Holiday
I have never been on a Villa Holiday before this was the family’s first attempt.
Villa was perfect, lovely and clean with enclosed secure gardens and a fantastic clean pool.
The surrounding area has everything you need within walking distance, Bars, Places to Eat and a Supermarket. The beach is a bus ride away or walkable if you’re an adult.
Highly recommended and I will definitely be going back.
Super house, area, property, the lot.
Nice and clean, plenty of space inside and outside not the least, a space for anyone to sit for oneself if wanted. Perfect for people with walking difficulties, perfect for everyone sort of speak. We were welcomed by nicest representives there is, Mr and Mrs Paul and Gill Matthews. Plus their daughter. All very welcoming, nice, helpful,only good things to say by a Norwegian who has travelled a lot all over the world. I recommend this property the warmest.
Perfect Getaway
Best holiday we could of asked for. Beautiful villa, obviously well looked after and loved. Facilities were perfect and the location was ideal. Supermarket was close by (walking distance) and there was a bank and a few restaurants for the evenings.
I would 100% recommend this villa to anyone. We had never stayed in a villa before and now I don't think we'd stay anywhere else!
Loads to do nearby. We went to the Aquapolis (excuse spelling) which was a fantastic waterpark in Torrevieja. So much fun for kids and adults, was quite pricey so make a day of it (we picked a really hot day).
Wanted to go back as soon as we left, thank you so much for a perfect getaway!
